U.S. Army Garrison, Aberdeen
Proving Ground, provides general, administrative and
logistical support to the post’s tenants and satellite
activities, and is responsible for the management and
operation of the entire installation.
More than 9,500 civilians
work at Aberdeen Proving Ground, and more than 5,000
military personnel are assigned there. In addition,
there are over 3,000 contractor and private business
employees working at the installation. The post
supports more than 16,000 military retirees and retiree
family members. The post is Harford County’s largest
employer and one of the largest employers in the state
of Maryland.
